Sources of Magic Knight Tours

List of Sources of Magic Knight Tours in Historical Sequence

Some may of course have been published in an earlier source not yet found

Can any one help to trace the original publication sources of the following 14 tours?

The codes on the left are the names given to the tours in my 1986 catalogue in Chessics #26

Many tours appeared in other French newspapers that I have not located online.

  1. I am Fergus Duniho of the Chess Variant Pages (chessvariants.com), and I am doing some research into the history of the usage of the term Chess variant. I know the term was used by V. R. Parton by the 1960's or 1970's, and I know that your Variant Chess magazine helped make it the mainstream term in 1990. But I don't know anything about its usage between Parton's writings and your publication of Variant Chess, or about any earlier usage of it. Would you be able to help me fill in the gaps? You can contact me through my website.
